FIREARMS TRAINING SCHOOL

The School offers firearms training and firearms safety seminars from the perspective of a seasoned criminal investigator who investigated criminal and accidental shootings. Bob spent the first three years of his career as a uniformed patrolman, but the last twenty-one were in plain clothes with a gun on his hip working for the Federal government. That experience goes into teaching gun owners simple gun safety best practices, how to carry concealed, and law use of force scenarios. We will cover what equipment is necessary to do that safely and comfortably and go over firearms maintenance, loading/unloading, and ammunition selection.

Bob Bennett

High Plains Shooting School is a premium private firearms training outfit. It is owned and operated by Bob Bennett, who spent over two decades as a criminal investigator for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Additionally, Bob began his law enforcement career with Pennington County Sheriff’s Office and then Rapid City Police Department.

Bob has been the lead and assisting investigator within the full spectrum of investigations to include white collar crime, violent crime, terrorism matters, motor vehicle accidents and administrative matters including internal employee investigations, EEO violations, background employment investigations, and Presidential pardon matters. Bob has responded to numerous shooting incidents as an investigator and incorporates that into the School’s curriculum.

Throughout those years Bob received countless hours of firearms training relative to pistols, shotguns, and rifles. The High Plains Shooting School is taking that real-world experience to help new and experienced lawful gun owners become quietly proficient in safe and lawful handling for home/personal defense and public concealed carry.
